How long have you been in business?

What is your primary product or service?
The Minneapolis Foundation has the tools and expertise to make your giving go further. We provide personalized, convenient, tax-smart giving solutions that enable generous Minnesotans to fund their charitable passions.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We currently manage more than 1,000 charitable funds established by individuals, families, and businesses, totaling more than $600 million in assets. Together our donors grant more than $35 million from their funds each year, supporting an incredible diversity of causes and charities in Minnesota and around the world. Individuals and families also make gifts to the Foundation that we pool and invest. The income generated is then distributed to community initiatives through a competitive grantmaking process. Each year, we award an average of five million dollars in grants to innovative nonprofits working to ensure our community is a fair, vibrant and sustainable place in which every person has an opportunity to thrive and contribute.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?

The Minneapolis Foundation 800 IDS Center 80 South Eighth Street Minneapolis, MN 55402 Directions From the south, take I-35W north to the downtown exits. Take 11th Street to Marquette Avenue. Go north on Marquette. The IDS Center is on the left on Marquette between 7th and 8th Streets. From the north, take I-35W south to Washington Avenue. Go west (right) to 2nd Avenue South. Go south (left) on 2nd Avenue South to 7th Street. Take a right on 7th Street to Marquette Avenue. The IDS Center is on the corner of 7th Street and Marquette Avenue. From the west, take I-394 to the downtown exits. Take 12th Street to Marquette Avenue. Go north on Marquette. The IDS Center is on the left on Marquette between 7th and 8th Streets. From the east, take I-94 west to the 11th Street exit. Take 11th Street to Marquette Avenue. Go north on Marquette. The IDS Center is on the left on Marquette between 7th and 8th Streets. Parking IDS Center Ramp The IDS Center parking facility has an entrance at 716 Marquette Avenue (between 7th and 8th Streets) with access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Bike Parking There are bike racks in the IDS Center Ramp. Or if you use Nice Ride, there is a station on 8th Street. Parking Meters Short-term meters are located throughout the city. There are several meters located on Marquette Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets across from the IDS Center. Public Transportation There are many bus and light rail options available from all over the Twin Cities. Please check Metro Transit for routes and times.
